Bambino Baby is located in Pages Court, just off the High Street in Petersfield
(entrance is between Superdrug and Hays Travel – scroll down to see videos for how to find the shop from each car park, plus from Petersfield Station)
The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am-5pm
No appointments are needed for babywearing help and advice
Come along whenever is convenient during shop hours
(but please scroll down to see a couple of days that are different)
** However, please allow enough time! **
It generally takes around 1-2 hours for you to try different options out and choose the right baby carrier for you.
This will likely be towards the longer end of the time scale if baby is already here, as they may well need feeding and changing while you’re here. It will generally be quicker if you’re pregnant.
It may take less time than this, but please allow plenty of time to make your choice (especially with parking – see below for more info – I really don’t want anyone getting a parking ticket).
If arriving after 3pm please be aware that – if it’s busy and there are others waiting – there may not be time to see you that day.
***************
Roamy (Babywearing Consultant) runs the shop on her own – and is there 99.9% of the time!
Some days we have cover from the lovely Emily – a trained Babywearing Peer Supporter – who can help with most babywearing help and advice but not for specialised areas
(e.g. twins, premature babies, parents/babies with additional needs).
On Roamy’s summer holiday (start of July) and a few other dates the lovely Jess – another Babywearing Consultant – will be here from 10am-2.30pm while Roamy is away. Full details below.
On any other (very rare) days when Roamy is away, the shop will always be open as normal, but if you’re coming for Babywearing help and advice please come at a different time.
Roamy will have cover on the following days/times:
Thursday 20th August
Babywearing help and support available from midday* until 5pm
Shop open 9am-5pm, as usual
(*it may be available earlier… our son is collecting his GCSE results and we’re not sure what time this will be!
I’ll update nearer the time when we have more info!)
Tuesday 1st September
Babywearing help and support only available 9am-11am.
Please allow plenty of time. Shop open until 5pm, as usual.
Tuesday 6th October
Babywearing help and advice available 10am-2.30pm from Babywearing Consultant, Jess.
Shop open 9am-5pm, as usual.
Saturday 21st November
Babywearing help and support will be available from Babywearing Peer Supporter, Emily.
Shop open 9am-5pm, as usual.
PLEASE NOTE
If you’re looking for help that requires Babywearing Consultancy level of experience
(e.g. premature babies, parents or babies with additional needs such as medical conditions, carrying twins)
please come along when Roamy or Jess are at the shop.
If you’re unsure, please get in touch before the day!
***************
There’s wide, level access to the shop, a lovely baby change and customer toilet, plus comfortable seating for feeding.
Parking is available just behind the shop in the M&S car park. If parking here, please ensure you pay to fully cover your stay and don’t go over the 1 hour-max time, as they have cameras with no grace period (and the charges are 24/7)
There’s also parking in Tesco car park, Festival Hall car park, Central (Waitrose) car park and Swan Street car park, which are all a very short walk away (please check signs for parking charges).
Further down the page you will see videos showing how to get to the shop from each of these car parks.
There is also limited, free parking on one side of St Peter’s Road (please only park in the bays as – although there are no double yellow lines – the unmarked side is not free!).
Plus there is 30 minutes free parking on the High Street and round the Square.
The majority of people come along during shop opening hours – whether to browse, shop or for babywearing help and advice. If you’d prefer to come to the shop outside of shop hours – or for me to come to you – I do occasionally have availability late-afternoon, mid-week, or in the daytime on a Monday.
If you’d like to pre-book a one-to-one Consultation outside of shop hours, please, click here to be taken to the booking form. I will be in touch to discuss a convenient day and time.
If you’d like to see the location before your visit, my videos below give a walking tour from many of the nearby car parks, as well as from The Square:
