The buckles and sliders are Bluesign® certified, which means that they were produced under water, energy-saving circumstances and generate particularly low air emissions. In addition, the Aerloom offers the current state of ergonomic standards.

Ergobaby’s most innovative baby carrier, the Aerloom, is also designed to grow with your baby, from birth (3.2 kilos) until your little one has become an independent toddler (15.9 kilos). Made to move, stretch, and fit your daily life, this first-of-its-kind carrier redefines comfort. Ultra-lightweight with built-in airflow and constructed from FormaKnit™ fabric for the ultimate fit.
The Aerloom offers three ergonomic carrying positions depending on individual needs:
- Baby inward carry (also for newborn)
- Baby outward carry (from approx. 5 months)
- Baby Back carry (from approx. 6 months)
For your newborn, thread the back panel once through the webbing at the front of the waist belt. This shortens the panel and narrows the bar. In this way, your newborn is optimally supported at the head, back, hips and legs.
Ergonomic comfort
No matter how old your baby is, they will always sit in the Aerloom in the ergonomic spread-squat-position. But we’ve also thought of the parent and caregiver: the lumbar support on the waist belt provides extra carrying comfort, the slightly curved shoulder straps flexibly adapt to the shape of your body – your back will be thankful. Breastfeeding in the baby carrier is also a piece of cake with the Aerloom. The small baby carrier bag also offers space for a mobile phone, keys etc.
As light as a feather, breathable and seamless as if it was made from one piece
The Aerloom has the perfect fit and is made as if from one piece of fabric due to the seamlessly integrated knit-mesh panels. The inner lining on the waist belt and back panel is made of cuddly cotton (Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified). It is soft and smooth and breathable, which is why you can also wear it extremely well under a jacket – for optimal freedom of movement in all seasons (unfortunately Ergobaby winter and rain covers do not fit). The lightweight fabric provides on top for optimal air circulation on hot days. And with only 660 grams it fits easily into any change bag.
FormaKnit: special manufacture, special look
The Aerloom baby carrier is also finished in one piece on high-tech knitting machines. Ergobaby is the first manufacturer to use this technology to produce baby carriers – creating limited, unique colour gradients. In addition, seamless functional zones are incorporated into the back panel of the carrier, making the Aerloom baby carrier breathable, stretchy and supportive.
Like each product in the Ergobaby range, the Ergobaby Aerloom supports baby in a hip-healthy “M” shape position, at all stages and in all positions including outward-facing.

It’s made in small quantities to avoid excess inventory and each carrier arrives in a recyclable shipper box; no extra packaging necessary.

IMPORTANT: If buying an Ergobaby Carrier please ONLY buy from an authorised dealer, like South East Slings. There is a big problem with fakes currently – often sold via eBay, Amazon and also via many authentic-looking websites which appear to be in the UK. It is incredibly difficult to tell the difference between real Ergobaby Carriers and fakes, however the fakes won’t have been subjected to the same safety checks and could contain dyes that are unsafe for babies.
